Can I Come to Healthy Beginnings?
YES: if you have no insurance and think you may qualify for Medicaid (or already have it) you may start your prenatal care as soon as possible, without waiting for Medicaid approval. You may have an insurance company that provides your Medicaid like Amerigroup, CareSource or Molina.
YES: If you have neither insurance nor Medicaid but can pay for your prenatal care at a reduced rate, over time.
How Do I Begin?
You may come to any of our offices for a pregnancy test by simply calling (513) 861-8430 for an appointment, or you can go to your nearest pregnancy care center for a test. If positive, they will give you a referral to Healthy Beginnings and other providers. Who Will Be My Doctor?
At Healthy Beginnings you may see a midwife, a nurse practitioner or one of our volunteer doctors. All are highly qualified prenatal medical providers. The Tri-Health Nurse Midwives or a hospital resident doctor will deliver your baby.
Where is Healthy Beginnings?
Healthy Beginnings has six locations: Mt. Auburn; Price Hill; North College Hill; Forest Park; Downtown; Northern Kentucky. In Cincinnati, you will deliver your baby at Good Samaritan Hospital, and in Kentucky, at St. Elizabeth South. You may receive your prenatal care, the help of a dietitian and counselor, and your ultrasounds at one of these six locations.
